We are excited to welcome runners to the Carbon Valley Half Marathon & SK-Centennial Park in Frederick, Colorado.
This year’s course has been thoughtfully designed to showcase the unique identity of Frederick. Along the route, runners will experience the town’s growing collection of handcrafted wood carvings-distinctive works of art that reflect the creativity and spirit of the community. These pieces add a memorable and meaningful visual element to your race experience.
The Half Marathon course also highlights the region’s historic roots. Portions of the route trace areas connected to the former coal mining operations that helped establish the Carbon Valley. It’s more than just a race-it’s a journey through the history that shaped the community we run in today.
The Half Marathon route also features stretches through the beautiful Milavec Lake Park. With its peaceful water views and natural surroundings, this portion of the course offers a refreshing and scenic experience for runners and spectators alike.
The Carbon Valley Half Marathon & 5K returns with everything participants have come to love—an inviting atmosphere, strong community support, scenic courses, and a well-organized race day experience.
Set against a backdrop of local art, rich history, and beautiful Colorado landscapes, this year’s race is another chance to come together, hit the course, and celebrate the Carbon Valley community.
